ynai · for YNAB
Let Claude read
your YNAB plans.
Well, well, well — look who wants their numbers on tap. Connect once and your assistant can read your plans, accounts, categories, months and transactions. Read-only, always.
Set this up on a computer. Once it's connected it works on your phone too.

1
Add the connector
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the address below and keep the sign-in settings Claude fills in.
https://mcp.ynai.app/mcp -
2
Sign in at YNAB
Claude opens a page here that says who's asking, then hands you to YNAB's own sign-in. You approve read-only access there, and you can pick which plan is your default.

Ask away
"What's left in groceries this month?" "What did we spend at H-E-B since June?" Ding ding — that's it.
What's kept here
- The connection itself, encrypted — YNAB's access and refresh tokens, locked to the connection's own key. Up to a year, then you sign in again.
- Nothing from your plans. Balances and transactions pass through on each request and are never written down here.
- Read-only at YNAB's end. The token is minted with YNAB's
read-onlyscope, so YNAB itself refuses any change. It isn't a promise this server makes; it's a door YNAB locked.
Leaving is one sentence
Tell your assistant "disconnect from YNAB" and that app's connection is gone. Or revoke this application at YNAB: Account Settings → Developer Settings → Authorized Applications ↗.
